In October 2009 we asked GRIP Communications to redesign our software systems to make them more accessible and centralised for our two laboratories. They looked into our databases, reports, accounts, et cetera and streamlined our complete IT system. After installation, they solved any problems that arose. In September 2007, we commissioned GRIP Communications to design, develop and deploy the software systems for Textamundo. It allows users to register and then use SMS to pose questions, which are answered by agents through a web interface.

We provided a summary of the requirements to GRIP, who very quickly produced the design and started development. As well as the user and agent interfaces, it required integration with an SMS gateway, a payment service provider and the HTML front-end of the service. We were impressed with the ability of Jarek Woznica to understand and manage the project with minimum demands on our time.

In December 2007, the system was ready for testing - a very short time for a bespoke system. GRIP recommended the operating environment and even researched the hosting options, and we are very happy with the choice. The architecture and development environment will facilitate rapid extensions to the Textamundo service as it grows.

Throughout the test period, Jarek and his team were very responsive to any bugs reported, providing quick fixes and new builds, often overnight or at weekends. In January 2008, the completed system was handed over, and the service was launched. With less than four months from conception to launch, this was an incredibly fast delivery, and we are very satisfied with the result.

It was a pleasure to work with Jarek on this project. We always felt it was in safe hands, and appreciated his willingness to go beyond the requirements in suggesting enhancements, adding features and offering advice on all aspects of the service.

Here at Glencree we had to relocate our offices and decided to upgrade and integrate our information systems at the same time. GRIP Communications undertook the work of consolidating our existing IT infrastructure and preparing it for new servers and systems. Then a new business software was set up and deployed on a new servers. In addition, a backup solution was installed for the entire organisation, which we did not have previously. Moreover, GRIP Communications undertook to train our staff in the use of all new systems and applications, including workgroup software, which has significantly enhanced the way we work.

All this work was carried out efficiently, effectively, and with good humour in a minimum time frame. Glemcree was so pleased with the work and service porivided that we have enetered into a service contract with GRIP Communications for the next three years.

Grip Communications was instrumental in the successful delivery of Kidsafe, Sentry Wireless´s parental control solution for young children with mobile phones. They were largely responsible for the design and development of the web-application and associated back office systems.

Kidsafe was a complex project consisting of specialised data models, business logic and web front-ends. The project used a range of Java (J2EE, Hibernate), web (AJAX) and database technologies. During the course of the project we found them to be innovative and professional, demonstrating a solid understanding of our business needs. They consistently delivered quality software on time and within budget.
